Barbara J. (Powers) Mcmurray

Barbara J. (Powers) McMurray, 85, of Fall River, widow of Raymond McMurray, died Saturday, December 14, 2013. A graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy, she was employed by Mazzone Construction, Firestone Rubber and F. B. Rogers Silver Co. as a Head Bookkeeper. Survivors include nieces Brenda (Burrows) Lopes (husband Stephen) and Jo-Ann (Powers) Polak (late husband Robert), all of Fall River, Rose (Powers) Arruda of Swansea and Jean (Powers) Harrington (husband James) of PA, a nephew, John J. Powers (wife Deborah) of NC, 12 great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Anna L. (McCarthy) Powers and the sister of the late Dorothy M. Burrows (husband late J. Delma) and the late John J. Powers (wife Florence of Fall River). Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Holy Name Church, Hanover St., at 11:00 AM. Burial is private. Visitation Monday morning prior to funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
