Barbara Manso

Barbara Ann (Cabral) Manso 71, a life long resident of Fall River, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at St. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. She was well known throughout the Fall River area as "Tia Barbara". She was the wife of Alfred M. Manso. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past September. Her parents who are now deceased were Antone Cabral Sr. and Hilda (Camara) Cabral. Before retiring, she was employed as a machine operator and an assembler at Cotton Tales. She also worked at various sewing shops in Fall River and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. Besides her husband she is survived by her two beloved sisters Joan Pereira and Beverly A. Andree, both of Fall River, 2 nieces and 5 nephews. She was also the sister of the late Antone Cabral Jr. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. with burial in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown. Calling hours omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St. Fall River, MA 02720 or any animal shelter of one's choice.
