Barbara A. (Couture) Lanigan

Barbara A. (Couture) Lanigan, 68, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Geoffrey Lanigan II, and the former wife of the late Roger Lescault.

Barbara was the owner and operator of J&J Linen Service, Fall River. She treasured spending lots of time with her grandchildren, they were her "light". She also enjoyed spending time in the garden and being by the beach, listening to music, and loved her cats, Freddie Mercury and Lucille Ball.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kimberlee Lescault, Denise Lanigan (fiance Dan), Karen Furtado (husband James); step-children, Tracy Lanigan Casey (late husband James), Christine McCarthy (husband Gerard), Geoffrey Lanigan III (wife Beth), and Patti Barrows; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings, Janet Clark (husband Kenneth), Robert Couture, and Lee Ann Couto; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Oliva W. Couture, FRPD and Eleanor (Clunan) Couture.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 25, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  There will be a funeral service following at 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
