Barbara Ann (Jean) Howard

Barbara Ann (Jean) Howard, 75, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at home.

She was employed at the original Denny’s on Milliken Blvd. for 15 years.

Raised in the “southend” of Fall river, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon “Babe” Jean, FRPD, Retired and Edith (DePippo) Jean.

Barbara was a beloved mother who devoted her entire life to her children.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.  She was an avid reader who referred to the beach as her happy place.

She leaves six children, Shelly Howard, David Howard, Melissa Howard, Napoleon “Todd” Howard, Jennifer Knight, (husband John Knight Jr), and Nicholas Howard; a sister, Janet Read (husband Dr. William Read);

grandchildren, Phillip Howard, Kelley Sousa, Emily Renaud, Mason Howard, David Howard, Chailene Howard, Lilly Howard, Anthony Howard and five great grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Susan Williamson and Fred Jean.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  There will be a funeral service in the funeral home during the visitation at 3:30 P.M.
