Barbara (Fontaine) Bonas

Barbara (Fontaine) Bonas, 78, of Tiverton, wife of the late Leonard Bonas, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was employed by Stop & Shop (Fall River and Middletown) for over 35 years and was a UFCW Shop Steward.

She leaves a daughter, Annette Silvia and her wife Lisa Aschenbrenner of Marlborough, MA; grandchildren, Zachary and Joshua Allen-Silvia, Ashtyn Silvia, Michael and Matthew Bonas; siblings, Louise Gardella of San Diego, William Fontaine and Alan Fontaine both of Fall River; a stepson, Chris Bonas (Christine) of North Smithfield; her former husband Robert Silvia (Pauline Fewster) of Warwick; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert Silvia; the daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Kelman) Fontaine and the sister of the late Herbert, Norman, Roger, Wilfred and Robert Fontaine, Gladys Gagne, Anna Smith, Helen Thibault, Jeanne Mello, Joan Lafleur and Maureen Gagnon

Her funeral service will be held at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Saturday, July 15, at 11:00 AM.

Visitation, Friday, July 14, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Potter League for Animals, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown RI 02842.
