Arthur C. Pereira

Arthur C. Pereira, 64, of Osborn St., Fall River, husband of Maria F. (Sousa) Pereira, died in the presence of his loving family, Friday, March 27, 2009, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Artur and Conceicao (Linhares) Pereira, he lived in Fall River for the past 40 years. A carpenter, he was employed by Kenneth Pacheco General Carpentry. Besides his wife of 41 years he leaves 2 sons, Charles Pereira and his wife Linda and Richard S. Pereira and his wife Shannon, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Chad, Jacob, Evan, Juliana and Ava Pereira; siblings, Zelia Oliveira of Tiverton and Ema Melo, Eduardo Pereira, Joe Pereira, Luis Pereira, Fernanda Gouveia and John Pereira, all of Fall River and nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
