Arthur S. Corgino

Arthur S. Corgino, 101, formerly of Anthony St., Fall River, died Thursday, September 25, 2008. An Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, he was a barber and hair stylist. Leaders in the hair styling industry, he and his late brothers operated the Larry Lorenz Beauty Salons, serving many famous clients including Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis, Bette Davis and Gloria Swanson. An accomplished musician, he played piano, organ, accordion and violin. He leaves a daughter, Marion Barnes and her husband Ralph of Windham, Maine; grandsons, Stephen Barnes of Windham and Michael Barnes of Pembroke, MA; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Antonio and Angelina (DeBonis) Corgino; the former husband of the late Anne (Mythowicz) Corgino, and the brother of the late Rose Carricato, Amelia Belmont, Mary Ragonesi, Laura Andrea and Frank, Viola and Ernest Corgino. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
