Arthur Albernaz

Arthur Albernaz, 84, of Fall River, husband of Bernadette (Levesque) Leduc-Albernaz, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he was an electrician for Electric Boat in Groton, CT, Bethlehem Steel in Boston and then Melville Tanks in Portsmouth, RI for the Navy Station. He was a 4th. Degree Knight of Columbus. He was very handy and enjoyed working on electronics.

Besides his wife of 25 years, he leaves three children, Arthur J. "Artie" Albernaz and his wife Alicia of Swansea, Marc R. Leduc of Fall River and Louise B. Leduc-Laquerre and her fiancé Daniel White of Tiverton; five grandchildren, Steven and Alyssa Laquerre of Tiverton, Justin Leduc of Somerset and Ethan and Aiden Albernaz of Swansea and a stepson, Greg Soares of Tiverton. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Correira) Albernaz; the brother of the late Joseph Albernaz, Jr. and the stepfather of the late Edward Soares, Jr..

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.
