Armel L. Audet, 87, of Fall River, husband of the late Madeleine (Levesque) Audet, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009. A graduate of Thibodeau Business College, he owned A. L. Audet Insurance Agency and co-owned Giroux-Audet Insurance Agency and was a past director of the Fall River Insurance Agents Association. A trustee of Citizens-Union Savings Bank, he had been a member of the Lions Club, Exchange Club, Toastmasters, Fall River Country Club and Quequechan Club and was a life member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks and a member of the "Over the Hill Gang". He was a former assistant registrar of the Bristol County-Fall River Registry of Deeds and a former member of the Fall River Planning Board and Conservation Commission. A Realtor, he was past-president of the Greater Fall River Board of Realtors and was a former Real Estate Agent for the City of Fall River. He leaves 2 children, Christopher P. Audet and his wife Maureen and Claudia Burke and her husband Thomas; a grandson, Christopher Jordan and his wife Vanessa; 2 great-grandchildren, Christopher and Lily-Ana Jordan and a sister, Gloria V. Manning, all of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Armel and Catherine (Marchessault) Audet and the brother of the late Lionel Audet. His funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church, Hanover St. Burial Private. Visitation, Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
