Armarina "Amy" (Cordeiro) Gillet

Armarina O. "Amy" (Cordeiro) Ferreira Gillet, 87, of 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Dunbar St. and North Main St., died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel Ferreira and Henry S. Gillet, Sr. Born, September 30, 1919 in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Rocha) Cordeiro, she lived in Fall River most of her life. Mrs. Gillet was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, now UNITE. Her hobbies included ballroom dancing, sewing and traveling. Survivors include, 2 stepsons, Henry S. Gillet, Jr. and his wife Susan, Russell R. Gillet and his wife Christine all of Fall River; a sister, Millie Souza of Fall River and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Cordeiro and Mary DeNardo. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in the chapel of Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave, at 9:30 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance located at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Van Fund, Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River MA 02720.
