Armand A. Dallaire, 88, of Fall River, Massachusetts, husband of Pauline T. (Thibault) Dallaire, died Sunday, November 28, 2010. Along with his wife of 59 years, he leaves 2 daughters, Gisele Dallaire and her husband Lawrence Day of Colorado and Michele Cordeiro of Westport, MA; 2 granddaughters, Amy Pacheco and her husband Ryan and Aleah Cateon, all of Westport; 2 great-grandchildren, Alexis Cordeiro and Ryan Pacheco, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Florence Boulanger of Maine and Loretta Rousseau of Florida. He was the son of the late Edgar and Rose (Rheaume) Dallaire. A multiple degree graduate of Montreal University, he earned a Masters Degree in Physics from Fordham University and attended institutes of Bowdoin College, Brown University, Tufts University, UCLA, Boston College and Boston University. An educator for 50 years, he taught at BMC Durfee High School for 35 years, 28 of them as Science Department Chairman, and at Bishop Connolly High School for 4 years. A former Brother of Christian Instruction, he taught at the former Msgr. Prevost High School in the 1940's. He was past president and member of the Cercle Horace Viau of the Richelieu Club, past president of L'Association Francophone, a director and "2001 Franco-American of the year" honoree of the Franco-American Civic League, a member and Scholarship Chairman of both the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, and a member of the Notre Dame Parish Choir and the First Friday Club. His funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
