Armand A. Brodeur, 83, of Tiverton, husband of Irene (Dupont) Brodeur, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital, after a long illness. He was employed by the former Prevost's Market, Tiverton, was deli manager for A & P Supermarkets and store manager and then auditor for Cumberland Farms. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Sergeant Brodeur served in Germany. He was a St. Theresa Parish Eucharistic Minister, Past President of the Retail Clerks Union and a member of the Royal Travelers. He enjoyed family gatherings and caring for his granddaughters. Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves three children, Paul Brodeur of Tiverton, Diane Morin and her husband Edmund of Westport and Robert Brodeur and his wife Julie of Coventry, RI; two granddaughters, Allison and Samantha, both of Coventry; sisters, Beatrice Ouellette of Northbridge, MA, Doris Helger of Tiverton and Germaine Brodeur of Wentzville, MO; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Gelinas) Brodeur; the brother of the late Theresa Sleeper, Juliette Conway, Rose Cote-Teal and Louise, Alfred, Gerard and Albert Henri "Butch" Brodeur and the uncle of the late Kevin Brodeur. His funeral will be held Saturday, December 29 at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday, December 28, 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 appreciated. Armand's family is grateful to the staff of the New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital for the wonderful care he received.
