Armand J. Berube

Armand J. Berube, 87, of Day St., Fall River, husband of the late Norma (Riley) Berube, and father of the late Normand C. Berube, Sr., died Tuesday, June 21, 2011. A graduate of Thibodeau Business College, he was employed by A & P Supermarkets, Twin City Electric, and Nira Warehouse. An Army veteran of WW II, and Purple Heart Medal recipient, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and AMVETS. He enjoyed traveling and playing cards and was a member of SPEBSQSA the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America. He leaves a daughter, Denise Mercier and her husband Richard of Tiverton; a daughter-in-law, Joyce (Sanders) Berube of Portsmouth, RI; grandchildren, Normand C. Berube, Jr., Lori Quigley and Jennifer Berube; great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Megan Quigley; a sister, Annette Dufour of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Charles and Marie Louise (Levesque) Berube and the brother of the late Henri, Emile, and Roland Berube, Jeannette Albernaz, Alice Joubert and Rita Cox. His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Stanislaus Church at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
