Aristides B. "Ted" Delvalle

Sgt. First Class Aristides B. "Ted" DelValle, Massachusetts Army National Guard, Retired, 74, of Myrtle Way, Tiverton, husband of Izaltina "Sally" (Medeiros) DelValle, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 20, 2010. Sergeant DelValle served the first 10 years of his career in the Navy and the next 16 years as a full time member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. A Grand Mason and member of the Tiverton Veterans of Foreign Wars, he studied law in the Phillipines. Besides his wife 50 years, he leaves 6 children, Kathleen Wasylyk (husband Walter) of Taunton, Steven Souza (wife Colleen), Thomas Souza (wife Deborah) and David DelValle (wife Charlotte) all of Fall River, and Melanie DelValle and Lisa Pontes, both of Tiverton; 16 grandchildren including Eli-James DelValle who was raised by Ted and Sally; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Solita Encarnacion and Jaime DelValle, both of Virginia and Vilma Medeiros of Assonet; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Alberto and Gertrudes (Bernardo) DelValle. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
