Antonio L. Soares

Antonio L. Soares, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was the husband of the late Maria Leonia (Viveiros) Soares. Antonio was employed by Quaker Fabrics as a machine operator. He enjoyed watching westerns, Portuguese music and novellas, soccer, boxing, professional wrestling, reading the bible and working in the garden. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio Soares and Alice (do Couto) Soares.

Antonio is survived by two children, John L. Soares (wife Maribeth H. Soares), and Antonio F. Soares; Siblings, Gilbert Soares, Maria Cabral, Eduarda Miguel, Maria Arruda and Jose Soares; many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 14,  from 10 AM to 12 Noon with a funeral service at Noon at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
