Antone E. "Tony" Souza, 94, formerly of 1685 Pleasant St., Fall River, husband of the late Laura G. (Vezina) Souza, died Monday, January 12, 2009.
A member of the Seaconnet Sportsmans Club, he owned and operated several dry cleaning businesses, was a bartender and cook in local cafés and in semi-retirement sold used cars at Brayton Ave. Motors.
He leaves daughters, Doris Aguiar and Claire Jusseaume, both of Westport, Lorraine Langlais and Patricia Menard (husband Kenneth) all of Somerset, Annette Heath of Tiverton and Veronica Bouchard of Fall River; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Arsene Souza of Fall River and Anna Bulhoes of FL and nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Anita Cote; the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Pimentel) Souza and the brother of the late Mamie Richards, Eva Victorinho, Ernestine Carvalho, Mary Angel Mello, Clementine Jardin and John, Ernest, Joseph and Emily Souza.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
