Antoinette (Chauvette) Mathieu

Antoinette (Chauvette) Mathieu, 96, formerly of GAR Highway, Somerset, presently of Oliver St., Fall River, widow of Ovide Mathieu, died Friday, March 14, 2008. She owned and operated the former Gladys' Beauty Shop, Fall River and operated the Catholic Memorial Home beauty shop many years ago. She leaves sisters Cecile Bibeau of Somerset, Florence Chauvette, Theresa Prevost and Eugenie White, all of Connecticut; nephews and nieces including Claire Banville of Somerset and godchildren including David Banville of Dighton. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Millette) Chauvette and the sister of the late Lauretta Mathieu and Gerard, Leo and Napoleon Chauvette. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Tuesday, March 25, in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea, at 10:00 AM. Visitation and flowers omitted.
