Anthony Richard Tuniewicz

A. Richard Tuniewicz, 70, formerly of Vagge Drive, Nashua died Thursday morning July 17th after a two month hospitalization at St. Luke's hospital in New Bedford, MA. A resident of Nashua for much of his life, Mr. Tuniewicz was born in Lowell, MA on March 24, 1938, son of the late Walter Tuniewicz and Jeanette (Bujnowski) Tuniewicz. Educated at Keith Academy in Lowell, Richard was a machinist by trade, operating his own business called Bar-Craft for many years. He was also a Certified Manufacturing Engineer employed by the Gillette Company in South Boston among others. Mr. Tuniewicz also raised Bouvier des Flandres dogs and was often seen walking with them in the downtown Nashua area. Tuniewicz served in the United States Marine Corps as an M.P. in the late 1950's. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mark Tuniewicz and Kate Mensch of Mountain Top, PA; his daughter and son-in-law Sandra Tuniewicz and Victor Iannetti of Seabrook, NH; Two sisters Janice Graichen and Paula Knutson of Nashua, NH; a brother Thomas Tuniewicz of Southbridge, MA; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will take place on August 3rd, 2008 at 10am at Greely Park in Nashua, with a reception immediately following.
