Anthony L. Pacheco, Jr.

Anthony L. Pacheco Jr, died on September 19, 2009. The husband of the late Dorothea (Kinnane) Pacheco and the son of Isabella and Anthony Pacheco, Anthony was the brother of sisters Anna, Rose, Isabel, Mary, Belmeida,Virginia and brothers Joseph, Frances, Manuel, Sylvester, John, Louis (all deceased) and is survived by a sister Lucille of Cranston RI and a brother Victor of Swansea MA. A lifelong resident of Fall River MA, Anthony resided at Snell Street until 2005 (when he moved to Catholic Memorial Home). Anthony's two children who predeceased him were Mary Lou Zeb, R.N. and Gerald Pacheco. He is survived by his daughters Kathleen A. Proulx of Manchester NH and Dorothy M. Borden and Susan E. Boissoneault, both of Fall River MA. His grandchildren include Christine, Lori Ann and Scott Pacheco; James and Bethany Borden: Andrea Proulx Buinicki and Christopher Proulx, and Amy, Michael and Alison Boissoneault. He is also survived by12 great grandchildren and his goddaughter Jacqueline Medeiros. Anthony was a Fall River Firefighter for more than 30 years retiring in 1976. He worked at the Globe, No End and Niagara Fire Stations. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a maintenance and groundskeeper at the Franciscan (Missionaries of Mary) Guild, Second Street, Fall River and O'Rourke Funeral Home of Fall River. Anthony enjoyed summers and gardening at Sakonnet Point, RI and was an avid chess player. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Cross Church of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Pulaski St., at 9:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
