Anthony T. Novacek, 63, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born on November 10, 1961, in Cicero, Illinois, Anthony dedicated his life to both his career and his family.
A proud graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1980, Anthony embarked on a successful career in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (H.V.A.C.). He was a co-owner of NALCO, where he worked for 22 years, finding joy in the everyday challenges of his profession. In his own words, "I love a challenge; the reason I like this type of work is every day is different from the next." Beyond his professional endeavors, Anthony contributed to his community by serving on the Advisory Committee at Diman, demonstrating a commitment to giving back.
Anthony's love for animals was well known; he cherished his dogs, cats, and parrot, all of whom brought joy to his life. His passions extended beyond his work and pets; he enjoyed camping, gardening and yard work, and nurturing his home. He found his greatest joy in the laughter and smiles of his beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa.
A member of St. John's Athletic Club, Anthony was active in his community both in spirit and in presence, embodying the values of friendship, dedication, and service to others.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen A. (Clynes) Novacek; his daughters, Heather Medeiros, her husband Dennis, and their sons Devin, Drew and Dalton and his daughter Kayla Lamb, her husband Daniel and their daughter Jasmine; and his brother, Robert Novacek and his wife Stephanie. Anthony joins his late father, Richard Novacek, and his late mother, Elizabeth (Adams) Novacek, in eternal rest.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
His funeral will be held Friday, April 25, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church,1335 North Main Street, Fall River, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
