Annette (Bienvenue) Daignault, longtime resident of Westport and later, Orlando, Florida, died in Henderson, Nevada on December 22, 2022, after a short illness complicated by Alzheimer’s. She was 87.
She leaves behind two daughters, Georgette Rocheleau of Henderson, Nevada and Annmarie Hunter of Orlando, Florida, two sisters, Lucille Dumont and Claire Banville, both of Fall River, six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was married to her late husband, George Daignault of Westport and later, Orlando, for 56 years. Annette and George worked for many years at Walt Disney Company, where Annette, as a prep chef, received the Cast Member of the Year award in 1989. In her younger years, she learned millinery arts and made ladies’ hats. Later, she became adept at painting whiteware sculptures. In 2020, she moved to Nevada with her daughter Georgette and son-in-law, Al, and lived with them until her passing.
Her Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, January 19 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd, Westport, with interment at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Immediately after the services, friends and relatives are also welcome to attend a luncheon at McGovern’s Restaurant in Fall River.
