Anne (Sanspitier) Robertshaw

Anne (Sanspitier) Robertshaw, 89, of Warren Ave., Tiverton, died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River. She was the wife of the late Elwood W. "Jack" Robertshaw, Sr. They had been married for 49 years when he died in 1986. Born in Fall River, February 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Ludger and Josephine (Mochon) Sanspitier, she lived in Tiverton for more than 60 years. A registered nurse, the served at Zambarano Hospital, Pascoag, RI during the WW II era. Upon her retirement from nursing she served as a homemaker, know for her devotion to her family. She was a very active volunteer in all of the Tiverton elementary schools while her children were young, also serving as vice-president of the Tiverton elementary school PTA in the 1960's. She leaves, a son, Dr. Gregory A. Robertshaw and his wife Sheila of Tewksbury, MA; a daughter, Rosalyn A. Robertshaw of Tiverton; 2 granddaughters, Lori E. Lord and Martha A. Robertshaw and 2 sisters, Jeanette Roszkiewicz of New Bedford and Theresa Barboza of Florida. She was the mother of the late Elwood W. Robertshaw, Jr. and the sister of the late Wilfred Sanspitier, Olivine Maltais, Lea Callahan, Alice Sharfenberg, Dora Magnant and Beatrice Dallaire. Visitation and flowers omitted.
