Andrew G. Dangelas

Andrew G. "Andy" Dangelas, 93, of Birch St., Fall River, son of the late George and Aglaia (Zimakas) Dangelas and brother of the late Arthur Dangelas, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1933 and Thibodeau Business College, he was an Employee Relations Specialist at the Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport, RI for 36 years. An Army Veteran of WW II, he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Andy was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and AHEPA. An avid golfer, he was a member of Montaup Country Club, Portsmouth, RI for over 60 years and prior to that a member of the Fall River Country Club. He leaves a nephew Andrew Dangelas and his wife Bernice of Pelham, NH and their daughters, Moira Louca and Sarah Dangelas Hofe. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 NOON in St. Demetrios Church, 289 No. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
