Andrew F. Bohn

Andrew F. Bohn, 48, of Norfolk, Virginia, formerly of Westport, died Thursday, May 19, 2016. Andrew was raised in Westport and graduated from Westport high school in 1985. He then moved to Norfolk, VA, where he began welding in a salvage yard at the age of 19, working his way up to foreman for several shipyards in the Norfolk area. For the last 14 years he had worked for Colanna's shipyard as a highly valued employee. He was known to work out of town for months at a time as far away as Japan. He also owned the "Andrew & Adam Welding Company". He knew every job in the welding industry and worked long hours up to seven days a week. He was the husband of Melissa Bohn and the son of the late Carol (Wilcox) Bohn. Besides his wife he leaves his father Ralph Bohn and stepmother Nancy Bohn; son Andrew Bohn; sister Margaret Kannan and her husband Rakesh Kannan; brother Adam Bohn; stepson Brandon Bailey; nephews Aaron, Brandon, Dylan; niece Julia and great niece Xoey; aunts, uncles, cousins and his faithful companions "Poncho" and "Snoopy". He loved the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics and always looked forward to returning home to visit with family and friends who will miss him deeply. He was involved in a softball league for 15 years and was also a little league coach. Visitation, Saturday afternoon at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m..
