Andre P. Carrier

Andre P. Carrier, 88, of Fall River, husband of the late Yvonne (Madore) Carrier, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was the son of the late Honore and Marie Louise (Berube) Carrier.

A member of the BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1945, and an Army veteran of WW II, he was a freelance men's clothing store display designer. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Swansea Knights of Columbus and the Touisset Country Club. He enjoyed playing the piano, golfing and summer vacations at Sutton Falls, Sutton, MA and Pompton Lakes, NJ with his family.

He was the father of Robert H. Carrier (Beverly) of Derry, NH, Andre J. Carrier (Penny) of Portsmouth, RI and Jeannine Carrier (Maisie Alcoy) of Oakland Park, FL; and the late Irene Y. Parent; the grandfather of Ashlie Carrier (Tina), Danielle Katz (Nick), Michelle Vanasse (Tim), Matthew Carrier (Melissa) and Jason Parent; the great-grandfather of Grace, Brooke and Emma Carrier, Kaya and Karly Katz, Kaedon and Parker Vanasse and Kayla Parent; the brother of Jean Carrier of Hope Valley, RI, Paul Carrier of New Bedford and Anne Marie Desilets of Tiverton; and also leaves nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Anne Shrine at 10:00 a.m. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, PO Box 9697, Fall River MA 02720.
