Alice R. (Thibault) Hawkins

Alice R. (Thibault) Hawkins, 82, of Buffinton St. Fall River, formerly of Ash Ave, Tiverton, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. She was the wife of Henry T. Hawkins. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Florien and Eva (Baillargeon) Thibault, she resided in Tiverton for 42 years, returning to Fall River 17 years ago. She served as Tax Collector, Deputy Town Clerk and Probate Clerk for the Town of Tiverton, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant and Women's Club member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church. Besides her husband of 62 years she leaves 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew and Colleen Cunningham and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sharon Cunningham and the sister of the late Leona Blanchette, Bertha Desforges, Florence Lavoie, Beatrice Picard and Leo, Roland, Normand, and A. Edgar Thibault. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Cross Church of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Pulaski St. at 9:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
