Alice (Blanchette) Grandmont

October 10, 1914 — February 10, 2007

Alice (Blanchette) Grandmont, 92, of Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Lawton St., died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Emery F. Grandmont. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie Louise (Lacroix) Blanchette. She was employed by the Raytheon Company, Dighton, retiring in 1972 and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxilliary. Survivors include 3 sisters, Theresa St.Amand of Fall River, Germaine Levesque of Springfield, MA and Jeanne Duclos of Swansea and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Irene Daignault Braney, Bertha Croteau, Gabrielle Quade and Albert, Raymond and Louis "Fritz" Blanchette. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Tuesday 4: to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River MA 02720.
