Alice C. (Chasse) Gendreau

Alice C. (Chasse) Gendreau, 90, of 63 Lee St., Fall River, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011. A homemaker, she was also employed by Firestone Rubber Co., was principal bookkeeper for the Bristol Community College Evening Division, and employed by Kelly Services. A longtime member of St. Anne Parish, she enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing and was a member of numerous senior citizens groups including the Royal Travelers. She leaves two children, Richard R. Gendreau of Fort Washington, MD, and Janine V. Gendreau of Fall River, and nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Lucien H. Gendreau; the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Deschenes) Chasse; and the sister of the late Rev. Camille Chasse, OFM, Maria Bilodeau, Rose Fontaine, Jeannette Saulnier, and Adelard, Albert, Homer, Ovila, and Romuald Chasse. Following cremation, a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, in St. Anne Church at 11:30 AM. Visitation and flowers omitted.
