Alfred A. "Fred" Pineault

Alfred A. "Fred" Pineault, of Fall River, husband of the late Evelyn (Costa) Pineault, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 24, 2008. The son of the late Rose (Bouchard) Jean and Arthur Pineault and the stepson of the late Paul Jean, he was a Navy veteran having served in the SeaBees Construction Battalion in Okinawa for 2 years as part of his military service. Before retiring, he had been employed for many years in the textile industry. He was know for his kindness to stray cats and had adopted a few and given them a good and loving home. He held a Rescue Seaman Membership of Friends of Plum Beach Lighthouse and was a member and inspector for the Rose Island Lighthouse of Newport, RI. He is survived by his sister, Paulette Normandin and her husband Deacon Robert Normandin of Somerset; his godchild, Melody Lavoie; his niece and nephew, Tracy Hamner and Jason Normandin and several grand nieces and a grand nephew. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 28 at 10:00 AM in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted.
