Alfred S. Mello

Alfred S. Mello, 81, of Clarkson St., Fall River, husband of Jeannette (St.Laurent) Mello, died Monday, July 14, 2008. An Army veteran of WW II, he was employed by Durfee-Union Mills. Besides his wife, he leaves 3 children, Richard Mello, Darlene (Mello) Lariviere and David Mello, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Heather Souza, Krystin Lariviere, Richard Pavao, Aaron Mello and Brandon Mello; a great-granddaughter, Bryanna Souza; siblings, Mary Bennett and Gregory Mello, both of Dighton and Richard Mello of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Manuel S. and Georgianna (Costa-Leite) Mello and the brother of the late Manuel , Joseph, John and Frank Mello. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
