Alfred M. Manso, 78, of Fall River, husband of the late Barbara (Cabral) Manso, died Thursday, December 4, 2008. He donated his brain to science to help Alzheimer's studies. He was employed by Electric Boat and was an avid Red Sox Fan. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his sister-in-laws, Beverly A. Andree and Joan Pereira, both of Fall River; siblings Louis Manso of Fall River and Ruth Souza of Florida, many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Bernadine and Angelina (Perry) Manso and the brother of the late Leonora Duggan, John, Joseph, Juluis and Gilbert Manso.
His private funeral was held in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River with burial following in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assn, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
