Alfred A. "Freddy" Charette

Alfred A. "Freddy" Charette, 97, of Borden Place East, Fall River, husband of the late Eva G. (Allard) Charette, died Thursday, October 30, 2014. A 34 year employee of the former Fall River Gas Company, he was past-treasurer of Local 431 Utility Workers Union of America and past-president of both St. Anne Fraternity and St. Anne Little League and a founding member of St. Jean Baptiste Credit Union. He leaves a daughter, Beverly LeBreux (late husband Origene) of Florida; grandchildren, Dawn Zambic Dube of Somerset and Steven Zambic (late wife Cynthia) of Tiverton; great-grandchildren, Nicole Arruda (late husband Kevin), and Melissa, Rachel, Raejean,Tiffani and Samantha Dube; great-great-granddaughters, Isabel and Rose Arruda and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Cantin) Charette and the brother of the late Irene Gagnon, Jeannette Lavoie and Oscar and Gerald Charette. His funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM, at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation, Sunday morning prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
