Alfred Cardin, 85, of Fall River, owner of the former Cardin's Flower Shop, died Friday, December 5, 2014. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in 1948, he earned his B.A. degree in Accounting at Roger Williams College later in life. A former member of the Army Reserve and Navy Reserve, he enjoyed attending organ recitals, listening to classical music, visiting his family in Connecticut, vacationing at Cape Cod and spending time with friends, especially his friends at Creative Auctions, Fall River. Survivors include his brother, Herman Cardin, a sister in-law, Annette Cardin, a loving niece Denise Turecek and her fiancé Mike Sorrentino, grandnieces Aimee St.Thomas and Alison Mullins and her husband Andrew, great grandnephews, Brady and Wyatt St. Thomas. He was the son of the late Napoleon and Irene (Lamoureux) Cardin and the brother of the late Rosabelle Pelletier, Eveline, Willie, Napoleon, Albert Joseph and Henri Cardin. His funeral service will be held Saturday, December 13, at 9:30 AM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Saturday morning prior to the service from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
