Alcide J. Montminy

Alcide J. Montminy, 94, of Butler St., Fall River, husband of the late Evelyn (Paradise) Montminy, died Monday, June 14, 2010. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was employed by the Fall River Departments of Parks and Recreation. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he was a musician, inventor, painter and avid gardener. He leaves nieces and nephews including his primary caregiver, Richard Brodeur and his wife Karen of Westport. He was the father of the late Alcide P. "Sid" Montminy; the son of the late Adelard and Marie (Pelletier) Montminy and the brother of the late Corinne Isabel, Lorraine Montminy-Berg and Albert, Lucien and Juliette Montminy. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Visitation, Thursday morning prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
