Albertine Sylvia

Albertine B. (Lafreniere) Sylvia, 94, of 228 Dawson St. New Bedford, formerly of Tripp Towers, New Bedford, died January 30, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Sylvia Jr. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph O. and Mary Louise (Frechette) Lafreniere, she lived in New Bedford most of her life. She owned and operated the former Tina's Restaurant, Westport and also owned a second hand store in New Bedford many years ago. She leaves a son, Joseph A. Sylvia III of New Bedford, 3 daughters, Sandra L. Nelson of Grant, Michigan, Theresa M. Pereira of Winter Haven, Florida and Irene McMullen of New Bedford; She was the mother of the late Patrick J. Lafreniere. She was the sister of the lateElizabeth Champagne, Yvonne Bariteau, Annette Rodrigues, Lillian Kessel and Louis, Joseph and Walter Lafreniere. Visitation Saturday 2/3/07 from 4 to 8:00 PM in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, Funeral service immediately following at 8:00 PM LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
