Albert Clark Labossiere

May 23, 1928 — December 18, 2013

Albert Clark Labossiere, 85, of Tiverton, died peacefully Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. He was born and raised in Fall River and was the son of the late Albert J. Labossiere and the late Ella (Hurst) Labossiere. He was the brother of the late June Lacourse, Alberta Mello, Madelyn Gagne, Helene Simonetti, and Raymond Labossiere. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Dorothy (Drewniak) Labossiere, a daughter, Cheryl A. Hulin and husband Martin of Woburn, three sons, Michael A. Labossiere and his wife Sarah of Dartmouth, Richard C. Labossiere and his wife Cynthia of Freetown, Robert S. Labossiere and his wife Tina of So. Dennis, and ten Grandchildren (Amanda, Grace, Caroline, Julianne, Drew, Sam, Alex, Joe, Will and Jack) and many nieces and nephews. He was a B.M.C. Durfee High School graduate, Class of 1947. Albert was a member of the National Guard and served in the United States Army. He worked for New England Tel & Tel, now Verizon, for over 36 years. Albert and Dorothy moved to Tiverton, RI before retirement. Albert loved to travel, spend time with his family and was an avid walker. He was a former member of the Fall River and Newport HAM Radio Clubs, call sign AA1QB. A funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday December 23, 2013 at 9:00 AM from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Church, 1598 So. Main St., at 10:00 AM. Calling hours are Sunday 3:00 to 6:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
