Albert "Lucky" Barcelou, 81, of Tiverton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, April 19, 2010. He shared 61 years of marriage with his wonderful wife Muriel (Marchand) Barcelou. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Adelard and Rose (Lagasse) Barcelou, he moved to Tiverton in 1959. A Navy veteran of WW II, he also served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was Head Chef at White's of Westport for 43 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and Petit Bonhomme-Parcheesi. He leaves 4 children, Kenneth L. Barcelou (wife Joanne) of Rumford, RI, Bruce Barcelou (wife Michele) and Susan Rebello (companion David Landry), all of Tiverton and Renee Dumont (husband Scott) of Fall River; grandchildren, Christine Botelho (husband George), Michael Rebello (wife Rachel), Benjamin Barcelou (wife Nicky), Alycia Barcelou and Micaela Barcelou; a great-grandson, Ian Botelho; a brother, Normand Barcelou of Milton, MA and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rita Levesque, Edna Normandin and Irene Pineault. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service at 7:30 PM. Cremation to follow. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
