Alan G. Dube, a compassionate addiction counselor and dedicated family man, passed away on December 18, 2024, in Assonet, Massachusetts. Born on October 21, 1943, in Fall River, Alan brought kindness and understanding to his work and personal life.
Alan's career was marked by his noble commitment to helping others, particularly during his time as an addiction counselor at Arbour-Fuller Hospital in Attleboro. His previous background as an Engineering Products Specialist with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections added depth to his understanding of the challenges faced by those he sought to assist.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Alan furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University and a Master's Degree in Business Management from Lesley University.
Alan was blessed to share 56 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Virginia (McCarthy) Dube. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and support for their family.
Alan is also survived by his son Keith Dube and his husband Daniel Dube, his son James "Jimmy" Dube, and his sister, Nancy Dube.
He was the son of the late George H. Dube and Beatrice (Perry) Dube.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
