Agnes (Melancon) Boudreau, 84, of Park St., Fall River, wife of Ernest H. Boudreau, died peacefully, Saturday, April 18, 2009, surrounded by loved ones. She worked in the garment industry and was a member ILGWU, now UNITE. A Pack 50, Cub Scouts den mother for many years, she was the recipient of the coveted Silver Fawn Award for distinguished service to youth. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting and crafts.
Besides her husband of 59 years, she leaves 2 sons, David Boudreau and his wife Anne Marie of Westport and William Boudreau and his wife Rosemary of Somerset; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Gaboury and her husband Andrew, Nicholas Boudreau and Rachel Boudreau; siblings, Paul Melancon, Lucille Boudreau and Andre Melancon, all of Fall River, and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Richard Boudreau; the daughter of the late David and Marie A. (Gregoire) Melancon and the sister of the late Theophile "Teddy" Melancon and David "Buster" Melancon.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown MA 02472 would be appreciated.
