Adelard Joseph "Red" Giasson

Adelard "Red" Joseph Giasson, Jr., 77, a resident of O'Brien Apartments, 34 Whipple St. Fall River, Massachusetts, entered into rest on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Saint Anne Hospital. He owned and operated Red's Shoe Shine, Fall River for many years. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Survivors include three children, Karen-Ann Giasson, of Biddeford, Maine, Gary Giasson, (wife Kimberly) and Todd Allan Giasson, all of Fall River, two siblings, Patricia V. Hawes and Elaine M. Lecuyer, both of Fall River, an aunt, Theresa Mary Pettey, of Downey, California, eight grandchildren, Kenny and Jason Bushman, Amanda and Amber Silva, Christopher Levesque, Michael Giasson and Shawn Tolchinski, a companion, Shirley Slobin, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael Howard Giasson, the husband of the late Cheryl C. (O'Brien) Giasson, the brother of the late Paul J. Giasson and the son of the late Adelard Aime and Mary Yvonne (Benoit) Giasson. Following cremation, a visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 P.M. at O'Brien Apartments Hall, 34 Whipple St. Fall River, MA.
