Abraham "Budd" Abgrab

Abraham "Budd" Abgrab, 79, of Westport, MA, husband of Joyce (Lataif) Abgrab, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he earned his BS in Business Administration from Bryant University. He was assistant controller for Anderson-Little and controller of the Sheraton Islander Inn, Newport, RI. He was a member of the Lebanon American Society, American Lebanese Veterans Association, New England Family Wellness Foundation BOD, and treasurer and member of the BOD for St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Fall River, MA. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves 3 children: Nadia Noormohamed, her husband Mahmud of Westport; Michael Abgrab of Fall River; Russell Abgrab, his wife Paula, and grandchildren Kimberly, Allison, Casandra, and David Abgrab of Westport. Mr. Abgrab is survived by his brothers-in-law Louis Lataif and his wife Najla, Lawrence Lataif and his wife Noha, Charles Slemon, sister-in-law June Abgrab, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Michael and Ida (Matook) Abgrab and the brother of the late Rose Hasso, Joseph Abgrab, Anna Slemon, Lillian Onoyan, Albert Abgrab, Mary Kassab, and Isabelle George. Visitation, on Sunday will be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of the funeral home. His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral service in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 289 No. Main St., Fall River, MA at 10:00 AM. The burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Donations may be made to St. Demetrios Church.
