Richard O. Desmarais

Richard O. Desmarais, 85, formerly of Horton St., Fall River, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.  A talented, lifelong union carpenter, he enjoyed making furniture for his family. Richard was a loyal husband and a loving father.  He enjoyed hockey and listening to country music. He was a member of the former Notre Dame Parish.

He was the husband of the late Gisele A. (Savoie) Desmarais; father of Daniel R. Desmarais of Fall River and the late Claudette G. Desmarais and France L. Desmarais; brother of Dolores Caron (husband Raymond) of Somerset, Jacques Desmarais (wife Lucille) and Jean Desmarais, all of Quebec, Canada.  He was the son of the late Adelard and Berthe (Chagnon) Desmarais.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. with a funeral service at 11:45 A.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, MA.  Committal prayers and burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River.
