Marc C. Messier

Marc Christopher Messier of Westport MA, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

He was the son of Christopher and Sheila (Gray) Messier, the brother of Bethany Messier and Michael Messier and the uncle to Nathanael Messier. He was the grandson of Charles and Pauline Messier of Westport MA, Richard Gray of Rutland MA, and Mary Hanlan of Shrewsbury MA. He will be missed by all who know him.

Marc was a devoted son, grandson and uncle who was always willing to help anyone in need.  He had an inquisitive and adventurous spirit.  Marc was completely selfless, compassionate, and caring. Throughout his life’s struggles Marc always found a way to forge on with courage and perseverance. Marc had an immeasurable and profound connection with animals and wildlife of all kinds. He also loved music and often looked to music for solace. Marc was a Christian who believed deeply in his faith.

His hobbies included fishing, boating, ATV and dirt bike riding, snowboarding, and gaming. He loved nature, hiking and camping.

His talents were diverse. He enjoyed working as a Detailer at Tripp’s Boatyard in Westport. He held certificates in welding and the USCG Approved Limited Master (Launch Tender) License.  He learned how to build computers at the age of nine and became proficient with PC’s and computer hardware.  Marc was often found rebuilding and modifying his cars, motor bikes and ATV’s.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday October 16, 2022, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  There will be a funeral service during the visitation at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
